What is a gallery glass portrait? The finished product looks like stained
glass but costs and weighs a fraction of stained glass. It is a painting
technique used on glass and plastic and can be wiped with a damp cloth if it
becomes dusty.
What is the difference between custom and generic? A custom portrait allows
you to provide a favorite photo of your own pet and the artist captures your
pet's likeness and expression in your original piece of art. If you do not have a
photo to send you can order a generic portrait. You choose the animal and
breed, i.e a yellow lab or cockatiel, and the artist chooses a representative
example of a yellow lab or cockatiel to make your portrait.
What is the shipping rate and method? The finished piece is shipped US Mail
1st Class and it costs $5.00 for up to 70 pounds and includes insurance.
How long will it take to get my order? The creation of your piece could
take up to 10 days, depending on availability of artwork, frame that best
suits your piece, etc. Shipping takes 2 days.
What breeds can I choose for generic? Just about any breed of dog, cat,
bird, mammal, etc. that can be found is fair game for this type of art. Please
choose from front or side view and full body or close up. Please specify color
or style, i.e. yellow lab, black lab, type of cockatiel, etc. When you check out you
will also have the opportunity to send a note to give the artist any additional
information.
What is a Polymer Beastie? One-of-a-kind polymer clay beasties can be worn
as jewelry (necklace) or hung on a wall. They are not extremely fragile but can
be broken if hit or dropped, especially the smaller detailed areas like wings,
beaks, eyelashes, etc. Each creature is created individually and real
gemstones are used as eyes and detail work on the piece. Many of these
creatures hold a gemstone or have one encircled by their tail. They are named
because, as you will see, they have their own unique personality. They come in
all colors and all sorts of gemstones are used for eyes and details. They are
about 3 x 4 x .75 inches in size and have a hole in back for stringing as a
necklace or wall hanging. You can choose from the beasties that are already
made and available in the showroom or you can choose your own primary and
secondary color and style (name of beastie) from the order page.
How can I Order? You can order on the Order Page or in the Showroom. The
items shown for sale in the showroom have already been made and you will get
the exact product as shown. If you order on the order page, you can choose
more options because they have not been made; however, it will take longer to
receive your order.
